Astoria Oregon

Short drive to Astoria OR. The Astoria-Merger bridge we crossed was half clear and half covered in fog.  The bridge was built in 1966 it stretches 4.1 miles.  The bridge's main span is at 1,232 feet, the longest "continuous truss" in the world.

The KOA campground we are staying at is full, it's the largest one we've stayed at, there are over 400 sites, has several pools, a restaurant which delivers your meals!!  really roughing it! :) game room and ice cream socials, movies and different events everyday, and free all you can eat pancakes for breakfast everyday.  Before getting to the campground we stopped and had lunch we had fish & chips and Charlie bought a bowl of chowder to take home.

There are so many people camping here that have their boats it's great salmon fishing,  they have a fish cleaning station here.  We spoke to a guy that was cleaning his you can only catch 1 a day.  His was over 20 lbs.
