Upper Mesa Falls

Last night it went down into the low 40's and ended up being 54 in the motorhome!!  We turned the heat on!  Big difference from Tucson!!


Headed to Ashton Id where the upper Mesa Fall is located.  At Upper Mesa Falls, a thunderous curtain of water – as tall as a 10-story building – pours over remnants of an ancient volcanic super-eruption.  Upper Mesa Falls more closely resembles Niagara Falls Than virtually any other waterfall in the West.  Its 300 foot width and 114 foot cascade over basalt boulders.  It was stunning, our pictures don't reflect how massive it is.

On the way back we stopped to Frostop built in 1964, it's a small drive through with a small area inside to eat.  The food was great, they served root beer floats
and soft ice cream.  They were packed and the waitress said it's like that every day.
